The Horticare Companies were started in 1992 and are now under the ownership of Buddy Olsen and Dan Hill.  Buddy has been employed at Horticare for the last 17 years as the Supervisor of Operations, and Dan has been the Chief Financial Officer for the past 10 years. 

In just over a decade, our company has grown from two divisions to five: chemical, irrigation, landscaping, maintenance, and nursery. 

Horticare Nursery opened up in 1996, offering quality Arkansas grown flowers and shrubs at very competitive prices, giving an edge to the market.  Nursery Manager Ziggy Shumate is on site daily to meet with customers and ensure they get what they need. To draw the public to our ever-growing nursery, we offer seminars each Spring and Fall and send out an electronic newsletter to over 2,000 customers.   We are excited about all of the changes taking place in the nursery.  Come by and check us out!

Each year, our service and customer relations are raised to a new level.  Maintenance manager, Jason Moore meets on a consistent basis with clients to make sure that satisfaction is at its highest.  Also, the Horticare Landscape  team headed by Jay Weisenfelder continues to grow in excellence and experience as we meet the demands of the industry with award winning landscape designs. 

Our Chemical and Irrigation Divisions, headed by Timmy Poe and Scotty Moore, continue to make a name for themselves as we cater to customer’s needs to provide fertilizations and shrub treatments, and irrigation installation and repair, giving our customers a complete lawn care package. 

With a continuously changing and growing  company, it requires our staff to be on our toes.  Putting experience to work, our team has been working for the past ten years implementing successful safety and new hire programs.  These programs have enabled us to cut workmen’s comp claims and insurance costs to the company. Office Manager Belinda Sluss and Admin. Assistant Bethany Boling work to make sure customers are 100% satisfied and that the office runs smoothly.

As anyone can see, we work side by side with our company managers in order to ensure Horticare customers are satisfied. These programs continue to improve, and in turn, has enabled better customer relations and satisfaction.
